Lately I've become quite disenchanted with society. I've consumed literature at an alarming rate that furthers my interest in living "off the grid."
Does anyone out there (is there anyone out there, do I even have a readership?) have any thoughts, or similar interest, or fantasies of giving it all up for a nice piece of forest and a log cabin with no ties to all that our country provides (and controls) us with?
i think this is a major dream of most people, or fantasy. one of those that will never come true. for some, its just not possible. for others, the fear of isolation keeps them from physically doing it, even if they could actually make it happen. I have been studying ways to design homes that don't need anything from "the grid". totally self sustaining without having to live like youre in the 4th century. I'm biding my time, building my plans, making sure my exit to this life is permanent and grand
